Welcome to the Village of West Salem

The Village of West Salem, Incorporated in 1865, is located in Wayne County, Ohio. The population was 1,430 at the 2020 census.

  

 Effective 1/31/22 Village Hall Hours are:

Monday - 8 AM - 3 PM

Tuesday - 8 AM - 4 PM

Wednesday - 8 AM - 4 PM

Thursday - 8 AM - 3 PM

Friday - CLOSED

Saturday & Sunday - CLOSED

 

Utility payments can be made at Village Hall during these hours, at Farmers State Bank, online (fees apply), mailed to Village Hall, or they can be left in the secure drop box outside Village Hall.


 

 The West Salem Shade Tree Commission is looking for 2 residents of the Village to be on the committee. 

The Committee regulates planting, maintenance and removal of trees and shrubs, as well as prohibiting the abuse and mutilization of public trees in the Village. 

You must be a U.S. citizen and resident of the Village.

The committee meets 4 to 6 times per year. We are volunteers with no financial compensation.
