Welcome to the Village of West Salem

The Village of West Salem, Incorporated in 1865, is located in Wayne County, Ohio. The population was 1,464 at the 2010 census.


The water/sewer late fee and disconnect moratorium will end September 25, 2020, after which a 10% late penalty will be added to accounts for payments not received by the due date (25th of every month). As of Sept 25th, any accounts with a PAST DUE balance of 30 days or more will be subject to disconnection.

 Village Hall Hours:

Monday - 10am-3pm

Tuesday - CLOSED

Wednesday - 10am-3pm

Thursday - 10am-3pm

Friday - CLOSED

Saturday & Sunday - CLOSED

Utility payments can be made at Village Hall during these hours, at Farmers State Bank, online (fees apply), mailed to Village Hall, or they can be left in the secure drop box outside Village Hall.

The deadline for filing Income Tax has been extended until July 15, 2020
